GETTING TO LAUSANNE



By plane

The two main international airports are Geneva and Zürich. Geneva Airport is the closest international airport to Lausanne.
The journey takes about 45 minutes by train and is a direct service. There are 4 direct trains per hour.
The trip from Zürich Airport takes approximately two and a half hours by train.
There are 2 departures per hour to Lausanne.

By train

Lausanne is very well connected to the Swiss railway network, as well as to its neighboring countries, France, Italy and Germany.

By car

Switzerland and its neighbouring countries have fast and well maintained motorways. In Switzerland, roads are well signposted.  
You will have to buy a motorway sticker (or « vignette ») which costs CHF 40.-.

Parking on the University of Lausanne’s campus is not free, so public transportation is advised.
